Women's Basketball Team Recognized for Academic Excellence

The women's basketball was recognized by the WBCA for their academic excellence for the 2008-2009 season. The team finished 11th nationally with an overall team G.P.A of 3.474. GPAs are calculated by dividing the total number of quality points earned by each student-athlete on an institution's roster in the given academic terms by the total number of hours earned by the team. "I am extremely proud of my team. It is a great accomplishment for a team to earn such an outstanding overall G.P.A. and I celebrate their succes in the classroom," stated head coach Carla Fles.
