The Golden Eagles rebounded from the loss last night to Grandview (IA) with a resounding 98-61 victory over Holy Cross (IN) this afternoon. Sophomore Justin Yoder returned home and had the hot hand for the Golden Eagles. Yoder made 7 of 9 shots from the field including 3 of 4 from behind the arc to lead Cornerstone with 19 points for the game. Junior transfer Bryan Pasciak scored 16 making 4 of 6 from the field and 7 of 12 from the charity stripe. Caleb Simons added 14 with 6 boards. Matt Kingshott and Kelvin DeVries had 12 and 10 respectively for the Golden Eagles. Cornerstone shot 48.6% for the game and limited Holy Cross to just 35.8% from the field. The Golden Eagles held a 49-38 advantage in rebounds. Cornerstone improves to 1-1 on the season. Cornerstone will return to action on Tuesday night when they travel a few miles north on the Beltline to take on Kuyper College at 7:30 p.m.
