Senior Jenna Plewes became the third Golden Eagle to be named an NAIA Division II First Team All-American. The 5-10 forward from Zeeland Michigan finished her career as the 2nd leading scorer in Cornerstone history 20 points behind fellow first team All-American Cathi Velzen-Powell. Plewes was named runner-up player of the year in the WHAC and was the WHAC's leading scorer for the 2009 season. It was a game that was tight for most of the 40 minutes but in the end it was a layup by Concordia's Whitney Stichka that propelled Concordia to a 74-73 victory over Cornerstone at the NAIA National Tournament today.
