The volleyball team improved to 21-16 overall and 6-6 in the WHAC with a 3-1 win at Siena Heights. Holly Cousins had a team high 17 kills and 19 digs. CU won the first game handily 25-13 but the Saints responded with a 24-26 win in the second set. The Golden Eagles won the last two by a much closer margin 25-22, 25-21 to stay in a tie for fouth place with Davenport. Marcie Blacquiere dished out 54 assists and added 7 kills. Alica TerHaar and Becky Albrecht finished with 15 kills each while Katie McKee added 10 kills and 2 solo blocks. Cornerstone finished with 70 kills on 168 attempts for a .298 percentage to the Saints 50 out of 160 attempts for .188 percent.
Cornerstone closes the season with two home matches. They will face Concordia on Thursday, October 29th for Halloween night. Get in spirit and wear a costume. The final WHAC match of the season will be Tuesday, Nov. 3rd when they host Davenport.
