Cornerstone Dominates Marygrove in 8-0 Win

The Golden Eagles scored four goals in each half as they defeated Marygrove 8-0 today. Eight different players (Carlos Marinho, Nic Tolsma, Brian Nimmo, Adeshola Makinde, Ian Grotenhuis, Peter Kaijala, Kurt Bareham, and Alan Doornbos) all scored goals for Cornerstone. The Golden Eagles outshot the Mustangs 31-5 on the game. Cornerstone improves to 9-6-3 on the season. Cornerstone will host Aquinas at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday to try to earn the second seed in the tournament. Cornerstone is currently tied with Indiana Tech with one game remaining. A win on Wednesday will secure the 2nd seed for the tournament.
