Grants

Grants provide financial assistance that you don’t need to pay back. Grants like the Federal Pell Grant, Michigan Tuition Grant and the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunities Grant offer assistance based on your financial need. You’ll discover the financial aid opportunities you’re eligible for by completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Our dedicated staff is passionate about walking alongside you as you unlock the financial resources you are eligible for.

Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant program is designed to support students with financial need to pursue post-secondary education. To determine your eligibility and receive the Pell Grant, you’ll need to complete the FAFSA each award year. The amount of aid you are eligible to receive is dependent on your financial need, as expressed through your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) score on your FAFSA, and your student status and educational costs. For the 2020-21 award year, your Pell Grant award can be up to $6,345.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants program (FSEOG) serves undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional financial need. Cornerstone is proud to be a participating school to offer this additional financial resource for eligible students. Your eligibility is based on your financial aid, as indicated by your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) score on your FAFSA. For an EFC of zero, you can receive up to $150 per award year.

Michigan Tuition Grant

The Michigan Tuition Grant is a need-based financial resource pursuing an undergraduate degree in Michigan. To be eligible, you must complete your FAFSA prior to March 1st of each year and be a Michigan resident. For the 2020-21 award year, your Michigan Tuition Grant award can be up to $2,800.
