At Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, we seek to provide a valuable education at a reasonable cost. 70% of GRTS students receive a scholarship or grant, which lowers the tuition cost by an average of 12-26%, depending on your degree program. Also, the majority of our students qualify for federal aid. We don’t want finances to be a barrier for you. If it is, please connect with an Admissions Counselor to talk through your options.
The first step to apply for financial aid is completing the FAFSA. The FAFSA gives you access to loans provided by the federal government. GRTS students need to apply by March 1. It also helps us determine your eligibility for scholarships. GRTS’s FAFSA code is 002266.
GRTS students interested in applying for scholarships and grants must file both the FAFSA and the Seminary Scholarship Application, a short-essay application, to qualify for institutional scholarships. New students must receive acceptance for admission in order to be considered for scholarships. The priority deadline for both forms is March 31 for those enrolling in the fall and November 15 for those enrolling in the spring.
