Krista Diephouse
Instructor of Psychology
Krista Diephouse, Ph.D., serves as instructor of psychology at Cornerstone University, where she helps students understand human thought and behavior and apply psychological principles to real-world situations. She prepares students to use that knowledge across fields including business, education, health care, human services, ministry, nonprofit leadership and public service.
In the classroom, Dr. Diephouse uses discussion, real-world examples and applied assignments to deepen students’ understanding of psychology, including topics related to mental health such as anxiety and depression. Drawing on her expertise in educational psychology, she helps students recognize their strengths and areas for growth as learners and work toward their academic goals.
For Dr. Diephouse, psychology begins with a Biblical understanding of the human person. Because human beings are created in the image of God, she teaches students to examine psychological ideas in light of Scripture, including questions of stress, wisdom and self-control. She believes the impact of teaching extends far beyond one student as students carry what they learn into the lives of others.
