Affordability matters.

Cornerstone University partners with you every step of the way to finance your education. There are many ways to receive financial support to attend college. Scholarships and grants are awarded on merit, need and career choice.

Make sure to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to qualify for as many scholarships and grants as possible. The FAFSA is for need-based students only; students who have earned a bachelor's degree do not qualify for institutional aid or PELL. You will not qualify for the majority of Cornerstone scholarships and grants if you do not file the FAFSA.

Academic Awards

Academic award amounts range from $2,000 to $11,000 per year for incoming full-time, first-time freshmen. Transfer awards may vary. All academic awards are determined based on your G.P.A., test score and status as a first-time freshman or transfer student.

Grants

Grants are a form of government or institutional funding that do not need to be paid back. You may qualify for grants based on household income and other financial factors. We strongly encourage all stateside students to file the FAFSA.

University Scholarships

At Cornerstone, university scholarships are aid opportunities that require students to apply for funding. Take a look below and see which scholarships you may qualify for.

Pastor's Scholarship

The Pastor's Scholarship is awarded to students who have shown exceptional Christian leadership through ministry involvement. This scholarship award is valued at $1,000 per year.

To qualify, you must have a high school or college grade G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher and be recommended by a pastor or youth pastor. Recommendations are based on demonstrations of your spiritual maturity, strong academic credentials, church and community participation and the desire to influence the world for Christ. The application submission deadline for students is Dec. 1. Pastor or youth pastor recommendations must be received by Dec. 15.

Kingdom Scholars Program

If you are looking for an opportunity to shape campus culture, help foster an inclusive community and act as a culturally intelligent student leader, you may be the perfect fit for the Kingdom Scholar's program.

Candidates must have a G.P.A. of 3.4 or higher, complete the required application and file the FAFSA. Select applicants will be chosen to participate in interviews before final acceptance into the scholarship program. The application deadline is Dec. 1.

Global Scholarship

The Global Scholarship is awarded to U.S. citizen missionary kids whose families are serving internationally. Scholarship award values range from $1,000 to $4,000 per year.

Students who maintain a 3.4 high school G.P.A or 3.2 college G.P.A. and have a 25 composite ACT score or 1200 New/1700 Old SAT score are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be accepted for admission for the upcoming fall semester no later than Feb. 5. In addition to your own application, you must be recommended by your mission organization leader. Recommendations are based on demonstrations of your spiritual maturity, strong academic credentials, church and community participation and the desire to influence the world for Christ. Recommendations are due on Feb. 1 by 5 p.m.

Music Scholarship

Music scholarships are awarded to students with advanced skills in music; non-music majors are also encouraged to apply. Scholarship award values range from $500 to $8,000 per year.

Scholarship applicants are required to be accepted to Cornerstone and complete an audition. On-campus auditions are strongly encouraged for music majors, but video auditions will also be considered for scholarships. Live auditions will be held Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, and video auditions will be due by the same date.
