Economist, Bob Doll, Speaks at CU

News March 6, 2015

A regular guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News will be the featured speaker at Cornerstone University’s Business Division annual chapel, Our Father’s Business on March 16.

Bob Doll, a senior portfolio manager and chief equity strategist at Nuveen Asset Management, will speak to business students about his experience as a Christian businessman.

“Bob Doll is a prominent figure in the world of economics and finance as the Chief Equity Strategist for Nuveen,” said Dr. Brad Stamm, chair of the Business Division at CU. “This is an excellent opportunity for our business students to hear from someone with his experience, as well as be able to ask him questions and potentially talk with him one on one regarding opportunities in the field.”

Doll previously served as president and chief investment officer of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and regularly appears on national business news shows discussing the economy and markets.

He is frequently quoted in major business publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and Financial Times.

Doll is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He earned his M.B.A. from University of Pennsylvania—The Wharton School and his bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University.

Our Father’s Business is part of the Business Division chapel series that brings Christian businesspeople on campus to allow students opportunities to hear from successful professionals.

“Business majors, minors and faculty alike will want to attend because of the great opportunities the event provides for hearing from an expert in their field, as well as time for collaboration and networking,” said Dr. Brad Stamm.

The free event will be open to Cornerstone students and faculty.
