Amy M. Griswold, DNP, RN, AG-ACNP-BC, serves as assistant professor of nursing at Cornerstone University. A board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with nearly two decades of nursing and leadership experience, she has practiced in cardiothoracic surgery, critical care and other high-acuity settings. Her patient-experience scores previously ranked in the top 1% nationally.

Dr. Griswold helps students apply nursing knowledge to demanding patient care — from recognizing changing conditions and making safe clinical decisions to understanding advanced treatments and technologies. Her experience includes heart and lung transplantation, advanced heart failure, ventricular assist device (VAD) and ECMO support, giving students firsthand perspective on high-acuity care and collaborative health care teams.

Dr. Griswold integrates Biblical principles with the scientific foundations of nursing, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology and evidence-based practice. Students consider suffering, technology, advocacy and end-of-life care while learning to use clinical knowledge to honor God, uphold human dignity and serve patients well. She sees nursing as a calling to healing and service, preparing nurses for clinically excellent, ethically responsible care that reflects the love of Jesus Christ.
