Nursing Camp

Experience what it’s like to be a nursing student during Cornerstone University’s Nursing Camp! The world needs more health care professionals who are motivated to care competently and compassionately for the hurt and the sick. This two-day summer camp offers you a glimpse of what it’s like to be a college student on the path to a career in nursing.

Camp Details

Registration for the Nursing Camp is open to high school students entering grades 10 to 12, along with entering new college freshmen.

  • Date: July 13-14, 2022
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (overnight lodging is not provided)
  • Location: Cornerstone University (Grand Rapids, Mich.)
  • Cost: $150 (plus a $3.75 processing fee)

What to Expect

During this experiential nursing camp, you will have the opportunity to learn from Cornerstone University nursing faculty and staff, as well as have the opportunity to interact with local nurses. This camp features a mix of interactive learning, hands-on nursing skill activities and involvement in simulation experiences. Students will learn about the profession of nursing and how to prepare for pursuing nursing education, as well as experience what it would be like to be a nursing student at Cornerstone. In addition, students will have the opportunity to obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.

The cost for lunch on campus and your optional American Heart Association Basic Life Support/CPR Certification will be covered under the $150 cost of camp.

Register

This camp has a maximum capacity of 21 students. We will allow camper substitutions at no extra charge in the event that your student no longer wishes to attend the camp.
