


The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem Through the Eyes of Faith
Explore God’s Glory in Yellowstone National Park
From September 13–22, 2027, join Cornerstone University alumni and friends for an unforgettable exploration of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem! Experience Yellowstone through the eyes of faith as you consider origins, discover the remarkable complexity of species as evidence of God’s creative design, and reflect on our responsibility to steward His creation. From breathtaking geysers and mountain landscapes to diverse wildlife and plant life, this immersive trip will be led by longtime Cornerstone biology professor emeritus Raymond “Gator” Gates.
Trip Registration
This trip is limited to the first 10 registrants. The cost is $850 for the primary participant and $450 for a second participant. Lodging, meals, and travel expenses are not included. Reserve your space with a $100 nonrefundable deposit by June 1, 2027: The remaining trip balance is due on or before July 1, 2027: $750 for the primary participant, plus an additional $350 for a second participant, if applicable.
Participants should plan for an estimated total trip cost of approximately $2,000 to $3,000, depending on their travel arrangements, lodging selections, meals, and optional activities. This estimate is provided for planning purposes and is not a guaranteed package price.
Additional expenses may include:
- Lodging, which may cost up to approximately $170-$280 per night. Reserving early and sharing accommodations may help reduce expenses.
- Groceries and restaurant meals, which will vary throughout the trip.
- Optional horseback riding or ATV activities, estimated at $100 or more.
- Admission to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, estimated at approximately $25.
This is not an all-inclusive trip package. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation, lodging, meals, and optional activities unless otherwise noted.

Yellowstone National Park sits atop a volcanic hot spot and spans three states — a vast and thriving ecosystem that includes alpine tundra, white bark pine forests and the geyser basin. During the 2027 Yellowstone Trip, explore each feature and majestic aspect of the nation’s first national park through the eyes of faith.

Biblical Origins
Professor Gates, your trip guide, will discuss the relationship between Noah’s flood and the geology of Yellowstone National Park.

Flourishing Animal Life
Trip participants will study the irreducible complexity of the animals and plants in the area. This cries out that there must be a God.

Creation Stewardship
Led by Professor Gates, the group will discuss the value of biodiversity and our role as caretakers of God’s creation.
