Program Courses

Students in the Biblical Studies Minor will complete six courses that provide a balanced foundation in biblical interpretation, historical context, and theological understanding.

Biblical Studies Minor

BBL-103: Biblical Hermeneutics

Learn the foundational principles and methods of interpreting Scripture to study and apply God’s Word with accuracy.

BBL-43X: Bible Analysis Course

Engage in focused analysis of a specific biblical book or theme to deepen your understanding and interpretation skills.

Students will choose four (4) electives that best align with their goals — choosing from biblical literature, Old and New Testament studies, and Christian theology.

Biblical Literature and Context (choose 1 course)

Explore either a specific section of biblical literature or the historical and geographic settings of the Bible to better understand its background and message.

Old Testament Foundations (choose 1 course)

Study the themes and theology of the Old Testament, tracing God’s covenant story and the unfolding of His promises.

New Testament Foundations (choose 1 course)

Examine the life and teachings of Christ, the growth of the early church, and the theology of the New Testament.

Theology and Christian Beliefs (choose 1 course)

Strengthen your grasp of Christian doctrine through the study of theology, church history, and the core beliefs of the Christian faith.
