News March 25, 2015

Cornerstone University will host its semi-annual Business Breakfast March 26 featuring local business experts to discuss immigration and its impact.

Featured panelists will include Bing Goei, CEO of Eastern Floral Company and director of the State of Michigan Office for New Americans; Susan Im, president of ImLaw and immigration attorney; and Joe Laurent, vice president, Human Resources and corporate compliance officer at Agility Health.

Dr. Brad Stamm, professor of economics and chair of the Business Division will serve as moderator of the event.

The discussion will be on the issue of immigration and how it affects businesses.

A free breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Gainey Conference Center on campus followed by the panel discussion. A question and answer time will follow.

Each semester the university hosts the event, which brings together Grand Rapids business leaders and features panelists who discuss a current issue that is prominent in the business world.

“We are delighted to have major business leaders gathering on our campus tomorrow morning for what promises to be a thought-provoking and productive discussion on the issue of immigration,” said Dr. Joe Stowell, president of Cornerstone.

The free event is open to the public.
