BBL-103: Biblical Hermeneutics

Examine the principles of Biblical interpretation, including historical-grammatical interpretation, genre analysis, historical and cultural context, literary analysis and application of God’s written Word.

BBL-234: Writings of Paul

Survey Paul’s writings, including their backgrounds, themes, outlines and distinguishing features, with special attention to the book of Romans.

BBL-334: Prophetic Literature

Analyze the Old Testament prophets, their Ancient Near Eastern context and their role throughout Israel’s history, including their emphasis on social justice.

BBL-339: Gospel Literature

Study the four Gospels, including their backgrounds, themes, distinguishing features and portraits of Christ, with special attention to the life and ministry of Christ in the Gospel of Mark.

BTM-212: World Religions

Examine the history, beliefs and practices of major world religions, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and East Asian religions, with attention to their similarities and differences.

IDS-302: Principles of Self Management

Assess personal strengths and areas for growth while developing skills to manage your time, goals, values, personal and professional priorities, and group interactions.

MIN-312: Personal Growth for Effect LDRSH

Develop practices for effective leadership through spiritual disciplines, identifying spiritual gifts and natural abilities, and relationships for accountability.

The Cornerstone Core™ Statement

The Cornerstone Core offers a groundbreaking general education unlike any other college or university in America. Examine the beauty of God, the Gospel, and the core doctrines of the Christian faith. Discover the coherence of a worldview rooted in God’s truth through Scripture applied today — shaping character, conviction, and spiritual depth. We believe that beauty is more important than arguments and these courses will introduce students to the grandeur and beauty of Jesus and His creation and our place in the redemptive work of Jesus.

The Wisdom of the American Experience

Engage with Cornerstone’s Great Works Canon of the American Experience, by exploring the original speeches, sermons and foundational texts that shaped the American Republic, wrestling with enduring questions of liberty, order, duty and self-government. Graduates will learn what it means to be Christian citizens who are dutiful, wise, and formed with character to influence themselves, their families, and our nation.

Marketplace Intelligence

Develop analytical reasoning, scientific thinking, ethical utilization of artificial intelligence, commitment to free market economics, ethical clarity, and truthful and effective communication strategies to create solutions to complex challenges and serve society and humanity with excellence.
