Greek Grammar – Develop a foundation in New Testament Greek vocabulary, structure, and syntax to interpret the Bible’s original text with clarity.

Hebrew Grammar – Understand Old Testament Hebrew forms and patterns to uncover meaning and nuance from Scripture’s original language.

Biblical Readings and Exegesis – Practice translating and interpreting passages directly from Hebrew and Greek, deepening theological understanding and faith.

Program Courses

Biblical Languages Minor

GRK-101: Greek Grammar I

An introduction to Greek grammar of Koine Greek.

HEB-101: Hebrew I

The fundamentals of Biblical Hebrew with special attention to orthography, morphology, vocabulary, and the translation of simple texts.

GRK-102: Greek Grammar II

Continued basic grammar and beginning the reading of simple selections of ancient Greek.

HEB-102: Hebrew II

Continued emphasis given to grammar and expansion of vocabulary through translating simple passages from the Old Testament.

Students will select one elective from courses such as: readings in biblical Greek, Septuagint studies, Greek 400-level course, readings in biblical Hebrew or Hebrew 400-level course.
