Cornerstone University is committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us as a visitor on our websites. Information Our Websites Collect

We are the sole owners of the information collected on our sites. Only the staff of Cornerstone University and trusted third party partners have access to and collect information that you voluntarily give us via email, website forms or other means of direct contact with you. We will not sell or rent your information to anyone.

We will use your personal information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your personal information with any third party outside of Cornerstone, other than as necessary to fulfill your request. And, unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email, SMS/text, Facebook messenger or phone in the future to tell you about university events, campus news, services and/or changes to this privacy policy.

Personally Identifiable Information

Personally identifiable information is information that you submit via a form on one of our websites (e.g., contact form, information request, email subscription, enrollment application, event registration form or employment application). When registering online or completing an application for admission on one of Cornerstone's websites, you may be asked for information such as your full name, email address, mailing address, phone number, Social Security number and/or employment history. We may use this information for the purposes of:

  • Communication.
  • Customer service.
  • Business activities (e.g., enrollment processes and decisions).
  • Educational opportunities and services.
  • Notification of new services.
  • Transactions and/or donations.

Beyond the parameters of our partnership agreements with trusted third party partners, your information will not be sold to third parties, exchanged, transferred or given to any other company for any reason without your consent. We don't disclose personally identifiable information except for in confidence with third party vendors, legal obligations, determinations of the potential for harm or in the instance that our organization merges with another company.

Non-Personally Identifiable or Aggregate Information

At times, we may share aggregated demographic information with organizations that do not have an established partnership with us. In these instances, the shared data is not linked to any personal information that can identify you.

Use of Google Services

Our websites are enabled with a number of Google services, such as Google Analytics, Google Search, Google Fonts, Google Forms, Google Tags and/or another Google service (or a successor service). As such, our websites will collect information consistent with the terms of Google's Privacy Policy which could include but is not limited to the collection of device-specific information, log information, location information and cookie-related information as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Because our websites are enabled with add-on Google services, Google will have access to information that is collected by our websites in conjunction with its services and may use such information to improve its services. University staff will use such information, to the extent available such as by way of Google Analytics, to better understand the use of the websites and topics of interest among site visitors and to enhance the personalized user experience of our sites.


Cornerstone's websites use cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer or device to help us improve your access to our sites and identify repeat visits to our sites. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of you and other users to enhance the experience on our sites. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information.

Some of our university affiliates and third-party vendors may also use cookies on our sites. However, we have no access to and/or control over these cookies.

Public Forums

The information you choose to disclose on public forums (e.g., Disqus commenting platform utilized for university blogs) will not be protected under the terms of this privacy policy. This information may be accessed, disclosed, collected, stored and used by third parties without your knowledge.


From time-to-time, our sites request information via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose information. Information requested may include information such as contact information (e.g., name, mailing address), demographic information (e.g., zip code, age level) and user information (e.g., IP address, device type, browser). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of Cornerstone's websites.


We are committed to information security and take intentional steps to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via Cornerstone's websites (e.g., credit card data), your information is protected both online and offline. Whenever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. Your transaction history may be stored, but it is kept on secure servers and will not be given to third parties outside of the university's approved banking relationships.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g., billing, enrollment, registration) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers and servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Cornerstone's websites contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for and do not endorse the content and/or privacy practices of external sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our sites and to review the privacy statements of any other sites that collect personally identifiable information.

Because our privacy policy does not extend to external websites that are linked on our websites, you visit these sites at your own risk, and we advise you to exercise caution with regard to the sites you choose to visit.
