2027-2028 Academic Year: Transfer students are considered for academic scholarships based on college GPA. Tuition May Be Fully Covered
Cornerstone Commitment Grant
Eligible Michigan students can pay no out-of-pocket tuition through the Cornerstone Commitment Grant when combined with other Cornerstone, state and federal gift aid.
You may qualify if you:
- Have a family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $65,000 or less as reported on the FAFSA; or qualify for the full Federal Pell Grant and maximum Michigan Achievement Scholarship, regardless of AGI.
- Are admitted as a new or transfer undergraduate degree-seeking student.
- Are a Michigan resident.
- Enroll full time.
The Commitment Grant, combined with other Cornerstone, state and federal gift aid, will not exceed the cost of tuition. The amount of the Commitment Grant will not increase in future years.
Looking for Student Loans?
Loans are another form of financial aid, but unlike scholarships and grants, they must be repaid.
External Scholarships
Scholarships from community foundations, businesses, churches and other organizations can provide additional funding toward your education.
Community Foundations
Community foundations provide scholarships and grants for residents of their communities, even if you attend college elsewhere. Most application deadlines are in the spring for awards disbursed the following academic year.
To find opportunities near you, search your hometown, county or nearest city plus “community foundation” or “area foundation.” Michigan examples include the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, Fremont Area Community Foundation and Community Foundation for the Holland/Zeeland Area.
Net Price Calculator
Scholarships and grants can significantly reduce what you pay for college. Use Cornerstone’s Net Price Calculator to estimate your cost and potential financial aid.
