Serve Globally with a Missions Aviation Bachelor’s Degree

Combine your passion for spreading the Gospel with the technical skills of aviation through Cornerstone University’s B.A. in Missions Aviation. Gain biblical, intercultural, and aviation expertise, preparing you to serve in global mission fields and remote communities. Through a partnership with the School of Missionary Aviation Technology (SMAT), a nationally accredited aviation school, you’ll receive professional training in either aircraft maintenance or piloting, ensuring you are ready for aviation ministry.

Missions Aviation Program Structure

Students prepare to engage with mission organizations that employ missionary aviators. Freshmen, sophomore, and senior years are spent at Cornerstone, completing core requirements, a biblical studies major, and several courses in intercultural studies.
Junior year is spent at the School of Missionary Aviation Technology (SMAT). Students must complete the pre-entrance requirements for SMAT before proceeding with technical training. Cornerstone will accept the FAA certificate earned by the graduates of SMAT as evidence of prior learning in the amount of 60 credits (for aircraft maintenance certificate) or 45 credits (for flight certificate).

The Cornerstone Core™ Statement

The Cornerstone Core offers a groundbreaking general education unlike any other college or university in America. We believe that beauty is more important than arguments and these courses will introduce students to the grandeur and beauty of Jesus and His creation and our place in the redemptive work of Jesus.

The Wisdom of the American Experience

Engage with Cornerstone’s Great Works Canon of the American Experience, by exploring the original speeches, sermons and foundational texts that shaped the American Republic, wrestling with enduring questions of liberty, order, duty and self-government. Graduates will learn what it means to be Christian citizens who are dutiful, wise, and formed with character to influence themselves, their families, and our nation.

Marketplace Intelligence
