Cornerstone University Extends Tuition Freeze for Fall 2026–27, 2nd Consecutive Year
Cornerstone University today announced a continued tuition freeze for the 2026–27 academic year for new and continuing students. The university reset its tuition for 2024-25 by 22% to $22,000 and is maintaining this same rate, while also extending its Cornerstone Commitment Grant, affirming its pledge to affordability and value for students and their families.
“Paying for a college education is one of the biggest decisions students and families face,” said Heidi Cece, vice president for enrollment and marketing at Cornerstone University. “By freezing tuition for another year, we’re making it clear that Cornerstone is committed to keeping a Christ-centered, private education affordable. And we offer students a strong return on their investment through excellent academics and career and life preparation.”
Cornerstone’s campus population is growing, with new freshmen and transfer enrollment up 18% year-over-year. Students have discovered that the university’s $22,000 tuition, before scholarships and aid, is competitive with many public universities. Additionally, we are now extending our free-tuition partnership with the state of Michigan through our Cornerstone Commitment Grant. All families with demonstrated financial need who are full Pell eligible and Michigan Achievement Scholarship recipients can receive the Cornerstone Commitment Grant and pay no out-of-pocket tuition when they enroll at Cornerstone.
Already one of the most affordable universities, the appeal of Cornerstone’s private, Christian college experience is also compelling for its student experience. That experience includes the Cornerstone Advantage™, a distinctive approach that is attracting new students. We integrate academic expertise and career-readiness initiatives with expanded student support services, alongside experiential learning opportunities and spiritual growth. Strategic faculty hires have also increased the university’s academic expertise in nursing, engineering, science, chemistry, psychology, and data analytics, strengthening programs in high-demand fields that lead to high-potential careers.
On-campus and commuter students are also drawn to the excitement of campus life: chapels where the community gathers to worship and grow in Biblical wisdom, memory-making student events, intramurals and clubs that create lasting friendships, and the energy of NAIA and WHAC Golden Eagle athletics that unites the campus in school spirit.
At Cornerstone, you’ll discover a radically affordable, private college education that prepares graduates for high-potential careers and lives of meaning, service and leadership that honor Jesus Christ.
Students and families are invited to visit campus, experience the Christ-centered community firsthand, and take the next step toward enrollment for fall 2026–27 by contacting admissions@cornerstone.edu. 2026-27 Cornerstone scholarships and grants will be released by November 1.
