Transition from student to teacher.

The Teacher Education Division is passionate about preparing our students to serve as highly qualified teachers in public, Christian or overseas schools by developing the knowledge, skills and Christian character to enable them to be servant leaders who are influencers in their world for Jesus Christ.

Graduates of the Teacher Education Division influence culture as highly qualified, professional teachers in public, private and international schools.

Programs We Offer

Degree programs combine academically rigorous course work in education and the liberal arts with practical teaching experience in general and special education at elementary and secondary schools. In addition, you'll have the option of completing a portion of your directed teaching practicum as a cross-cultural experience in selected schools around the world.

Cornerstone's Teacher Education program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the Association of Christian Schools International.

Teacher Education Degree Completion

It is possible for students to complete their degree in four years by taking summer courses, J-term or May-term classes and carrying 15-17 credits each semester. A possible four-year degree is also dependent on which major/minor is selected. To determine the number of required semesters, students meet with an academic adviser to draft a four-year plan.

Consortium Students
