Professor Andrew Fritz brings his skill and expertise as a percussionist and a performer to the classroom as an applied percussion instructor and teacher of percussion methods. With national experience as a percussionist for several renowned symphony orchestras and festivals, Professor Fritz has years of musicianship under his belt.

Professor Fritz is a freelance percussionist and music educator based in Grand Rapids, Mich. He is principal timpanist with the Battle Creek Symphony and has been a member of the Ann Arbor Symphony and Lansing Symphony percussion sections since 2015. He frequently performs with the Grand Rapids symphony, including their trip to Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2018.

Professor Fritz is an active percussion educator with teaching appointments at Cornerstone University and Aquinas College, both as an applied instructor and as a lecturer in percussion methods. He received an Artist Diploma as a student of Ed Harrison and Vadim Karpinos at Roosevelt University. Professor Fritz holds a M.M. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a B.M. from Webster University.

Professor Fritz lives in Grand Rapids with his wife.
