Lori DeWitt has been a practicing registered nurse for 34 years, spending 25 of those in critical care, and has worked in the areas of emergency room, gastroenterology and outpatient surgery. She also was a clinical instructor for the critical care rotations at a local community college.
With her husband, Lori founded Casa de Esperanza Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization, in 2004. They work in the country of Honduras in the areas of health, construction and youth education. Lori travels to Honduras many times a year and just recently received her residency there.
“I enjoy my position as the nursing coordinator at Cornerstone University because I get to work alongside students just starting on their nursing journey, serving as an adviser and mentor. Here at Cornerstone, I am able to share how my faith impacts the nursing care that I give to both patients and students.”
